                                                   Preparing Your Quilt

So, you're ready to send your quilt.  Follow these steps in order to for your quilt to arrive safely and ready to be worked on!

  1. Square your quilt and make sure that the edges are straight and there are no selvage edges.
  2. Make sure that your batting (if you are providing your own) and backing are at least 5" larger than your quilt top on all sides.
  3. Do not baste or pin the quilt top, batting and backing together.
  4. Press the quilt top and clip all the threads and points.
  5. Use a safety pin or masking tape to indicate the top of the quilt.
  6. Include 1 yard of fabric if you'd like us to do your binding. All extra fabric will be returned to you.
  7. Print out a copy of the order form and fill it in and send it with your quilt.
  8. You may either send a check with your quilt or use Pay Pal (remit to djltdavis@hotmail.com) to pay for your quilt before it is returned to you.  There is a $25.00 returned check fee.
  9. Address your package to Laura Davis, not Caloosa Quilts, so as to avoid any identification of what's inside.
